Al Gore Is Lying Low -- for Good Reason

Quote:Maybe Al Gore's been advised by legal counsel to lie low. He may be the leader of the anthropogenic global warming (AGW) movement, but he's not defending it in public, not even when it's falling apart and his new fortune is based upon it.

Mr. Gore and his financial backers earned millions of dollars in start-up "green" companies and carbon trading schemes. If the scam worked, he could've become the first "carbon billionaire."

"What goes up can fall down" applies to ill-gotten gains in the stock market or "carbon trading" schemes. In such schemes, it's foreseeable that trusting investors will (a) not only get hurt when the scam collapses, but they'll also (b) pursue legal remedies and sue him for fraud.
It'll be interesting to see how pension funds play out in this respect.
So many are invested in the green agenda (ie Dunscombe - BBC pension funds),
and so few of the people who's pensions they are realise this.
They are in for a shock come retirement, or rather not..
gore may still make his billion, as obama says he will inplement cap and trade (despite europe's failure with cap and trade).

I will be amazed that it pass here because a lot of democrats are worried about the voters at home, who have made it clear they think it stinks.
It would not be the first time something went through against public opinion.

Incidentally over here on the news this morning,
Beeb warning of lots of companies possibly going out of business due to pension fund deficits....
