Forum refocus - Sunsettommy - 06-03-2012 12:07 PM Hello readers, I have decided to increase my time here as part of my effort to maximize the forums usefulness to the reading public. This means that I will resign as moderator of a large climate skeptic blog and cancel my participation at a forum that is too depressing to continue in.There are so many warmist jerks there to tolerate anymore plus the forum set up is in 1990's style that is based on the threaded method. It is a TORTURE to post there and wonder why skeptics chose that horrible place. It actually favors the alamists because it is hard to set a full bodied reply to their vomit. We are at a time in history where there so much deliberate disinformation being pushed on the unsuspecting public on climate matters. The lies and smears are so pervasive now that I wonder if they sold their souls to the proverbial climate demon. This means I will once again write in the blog lite area and this will also include some pointed comments that I think are deserving airing in a public place. Cheers, Sunsettommy RE: Forum refocus - Goose52 - 06-03-2012 12:21 PM Excellent. If you would have let us know which other forum that was maybe some of us could have helped out over there. The other forum I kick around in has seen a pickup of a few good skeptics lately. Glad to hear you will be spending more time and effort here. I for one really appreciate it. I have also read through your essays in "Sunsettommy reports." Very good presentations there as well. Looking forward to more please. The forum I left this morning is a hopeless cause since they are demented in their hate of skeptics. The oil funding smear is common there and the nasty replies are legion even if they were answered nicely. I will be posting in the Blog Lite AND Sunsettommy reports as part of my refocused effort in the forum. RE: Forum refocus - Derek - 06-04-2012 01:01 AM Sad news to hear of how other places are going. BUT, great news to hear you will be spending more time here. "They" WILL come here, as and when more people visit here. That I think we all here will relish. How is the PSI forum, I ask because I want to know if it is worth my posting there also what I will be posting here on the latent heat home experiments thread, which will be taking off soon....I think I have solved all the measurement and construction problems now, and am about to go through it all on that thread. The PSI forum is doing nothing while I fight off the occasional spam rush.
RE: Forum refocus - Sunsettommy - 06-07-2012 07:10 AM There will be some pruning of a few forums and subforums including one of the private forums. Also clean up the ACP deleting some plug ins as well. It is part of making this board smaller again and focus more on the climate science side than on the political since that is being covered on a lot of political forums already. RE: Forum refocus - Sunsettommy - 06-09-2012 09:56 AM Hello readers, The forums index page has been changed for the purpose of making it more logical and useful. The POLITICS forum is gone as part of my move to make this a MORE climate oriented discussion forum.I did move many of the relevant threads into the POLITICS and MEDIA forum because it is still focusing on the climate issues. The rest were deleted as they were about NON climate matters. More changes are due in the near future. Cheers, Sunsettommy |
