How Widespread The Cancerous Growth?
Hi All,
I have seen Oliver K Manuel post on various forums regarding his works, and NASA. Unfortunately his latest post at the Air Vent, post 7, on this tAV thread has met with Brian H's response in post 10 on the same thread. I can see both people's points. But, unfortunately Brian H is "more" correct, I also remember that even WUWT recently banned Oliver K Manuel for what they described as (words to the effect - ie, from memory) incessant posting on the same subject, and effectively trying to highjack any thread he posted in to his preferred topic of discussion. What did Oliver K Manuel post at aTV. ? Post 7. Oliver K. Manuel said September 7, 2010 at 12:26 pm How Widespread The Cancerous Growth? You are exactly right, Jeff: “Evidence drives science opinion toward truth.” Since 1976 I experienced deceit in NASA and in the space sciences community, but until the Climategate scandal broke and the coverup began, I had absolutely no idea how widespread the cancerous growth had become. I still do not know the full extent of the corruption, but the first half of this new paper documents the corruption in space sciences since 1976, . . . http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10640850/Neutron_Repulsion.pdf Corruption that had not yet taken control of Nature in 1983 when that journal published “The demise of established dogmas on the formation of the Solar System” [Nature 303 (1983) 286]: http://tallbloke.files.wordpress.com/201...t-1983.pdf Because of repeated failure of Nature to allow publication of dissenting opinions now to these three misrepresentations of empirical evidence: 1. Man-made CO2 induced global warming; 2. Earth’s heat source is well-behaved Hydrogen-fusion reactor; and 3. Fusion is the nuclear energy source that powers the Sun and our best hope for meeting future energy needs; . . . I sent this open message on August 11, 2010 requesting the resignation of Dr. Philip Campbell as editor of Nature for failure to follow Nature’s own Mission Statement of 1869: ” . . . to place before the general public the grand results of scientific work and scientific discovery; . . . to aid scientific men . . . by giving early information of all advances made in any branch of natural knowledge throughout the world, and by affording them an opportunity of discussing the various scientific questions which arise from time to time.” http://db.tt/ozSkvEf With kind regards, Oliver K. Manuel Former NASA Principal Investigator for Apollo However, I do think Oliver's works does need airing / discussing / considering more than it has been, so I thought it reasonable to start this thread, specifically for the subject. I have previously emailed him to ask if he wanted a private archive on this forum, to no response. In retrospect, this may have been because he would prefer an open thread, anyone can comment in, so the no response to my email to him, could have been quite reasonable, given (I assume) he is trying to get the subject area more widely discussed / considered. I would suggest now is a good time, because as his work being so long ignored / buried indicates, there may be a "cancer" in climate science that more are now becoming aware of, or are having to actually admit they know "the cancer" exists, and is still growing. This "cancer" does exist in my opinion, and IS harming more than "merely" the young developing science of climatology. I have attached to this post the 3 pdfs that were linked to in post 7 on the tAV thread. The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary. H. L. Mencken. The hobgoblins have to be imaginary so that "they" can offer their solutions, not THE solutions. |

RE: How Widespread The Cancerous Growth?
I have for 15 years or so been skeptical of the many speculative claims made by many in the field of Astronomy.
Dark Matter, Big Bang, Gravity based Universe and so on, Multiple Black Holes, Nuclear Sun, Redshifts as velocity only, and so on. Some of the claims seems obvious baloney in my opinion. It is our attitude toward free thought and free expression that will determine our fate. There must be no limit on the range of temperate discussion, no limits on thought. No subject must be taboo. No censor must preside at our assemblies. –William O. Douglas, U.S. Supreme Court Justice, 1952 |
