RE: Slaying the Sky Dragon: Death of the Greenhouse Gas Theory
I shouldn't be the only one around here quoted. But, yup, I squeaked in.. "infamous" maybe nearer the mark however. Have you seen Questioning_Climate's piece in the second book yet. ? Excellent stuff, though I have only skimmed that so far to be honest. I have just read Joe Olson's piece - eye opening, truly eye opening. It all adds to a bigger, more understandable, and reasonable picture, I suspect I'll be making some connections (catching up really) soon.. Later edit - I have just read Claes Johnson's piece. Oh. I wonder is anyone here interested in a thread just to discuss his piece *. ? What he covers I and several others here have been politely disagreeing about for a long time. (and we are obviously not alone in this disagreement....) I think what he describes may offer a way forward, AND it may also explain why we have all been partially right, and wrong. I am not much as far as the formulas are concerned, but some here are, I suggest it would be a great thing for us to confer on. We would all be able to contribute, AND his piece (in my opinion) needs putting into layman's terms / words. * - I wonder if we should have more specific threads discussing the pieces from this book, specifically. A thread for Alan Siddon's piece. A thread for Oliver K Manuel's and Joe Olson's pieces (they dovetail together so much separate threads would only confuse). Maybe more, I havn't finished the first book yet. So, so, much to catch up on.
The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary. H. L. Mencken. The hobgoblins have to be imaginary so that "they" can offer their solutions, not THE solutions. |
