Tthere is no suggestion of damage done by Nestle. They use the water from I think lake Michigan for their bottled water.
Report says climate change harms Great Lakes parks JOHN FLESHER, AP Environmental Writer Updated 03:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 13, 2011
Without changes in public policies and personal habits that pump greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, the parks could lose qualities that attract visitors and support unique ecosystems, Stephen Saunders, former deputy assistant secretary of the Interior Department, said in a report released by two advocacy groups. "Human disruption of the climate is the greatest threat ever to America's national parks," Saunders said. "Threads are being pulled out of the tapestry of these parks and the parks are beginning to lose their luster." ~snip~ http://www.seattlepi.com/default/article...464620.php “We do not believe any group of men adequate enough or wise enough to operate without scrutiny or without criticism. We know that the only way to avoid error is to detect it, that the only way to detect it is to be free to inquire. We know that in secrecy error undetected will flourish and subvert”. – J Robert Oppenheimer. |

RE: Report says climate change harms Great Lakes parks
![]() Somehow I am not that easily convinced. Quote:Without changes in public policies and personal habits that pump greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, the parks could lose qualities that attract visitors and support unique ecosystems, Stephen Saunders, former deputy assistant secretary of the Interior Department, said in a report released by two advocacy groups.emphasis mine So they are going to cry over the 3% of the world total CO2 emissions.Mankind's very small contribution. A report written by biased groups. I am not going to be that easily convinced.
It is our attitude toward free thought and free expression that will determine our fate. There must be no limit on the range of temperate discussion, no limits on thought. No subject must be taboo. No censor must preside at our assemblies. –William O. Douglas, U.S. Supreme Court Justice, 1952 |
