Critters moving away from global warming faster
Critters moving away from global warming faster
By SETH BORENSTEIN, AP
About 2,000 species examined are moving away from the equator at an average rate of more than 15 feet per day, about a mile per year, according to new research published Thursday in the journal Science which analyzed previous studies. Species are also moving up mountains to escape the heat, but more slowly, averaging about 4 feet a year. ~snip~ http://xfinity.comcast.net/articles/news...e.Species/ wonder what the error rate is? “We do not believe any group of men adequate enough or wise enough to operate without scrutiny or without criticism. We know that the only way to avoid error is to detect it, that the only way to detect it is to be free to inquire. We know that in secrecy error undetected will flourish and subvert”. – J Robert Oppenheimer. |

Who is the writer of this fascinating tripe?
It is our attitude toward free thought and free expression that will determine our fate. There must be no limit on the range of temperate discussion, no limits on thought. No subject must be taboo. No censor must preside at our assemblies. –William O. Douglas, U.S. Supreme Court Justice, 1952 |

Sea level rise is faster than they thought.Warming trend is faster than they thought.Glacier melt is faster than they thought.Etc. They do this because they want to be part of the global warming pack. It is our attitude toward free thought and free expression that will determine our fate. Oh I completely agree. 3mm ocean rise is faster than the assumed 2mm ocean rise but I'm still not going to get worried about it. And yes as warming takes place I would expect this to happen but it is all scare tactics, no reality or catastrophe involved. Besides things are starting to cool so I would expect the trend to reverse. “We do not believe any group of men adequate enough or wise enough to operate without scrutiny or without criticism.
