BBC has eliminated carbon dioxide
#1
I have just watched the most appalling propaganda on BBC2 TV chaired by Professor Iain Stewart in a program titled How to Grow a Planet. The program started at 9pm and I was only able to watch until 9:30pm purely to prevent my blood pressure reaching stroke level.

The Professsor(?) went into great detail explaining how early plants created oxygen via photosynthesis using just light and water ! ! ! ! ! !

NOT ONCE, NOT ONCE DID HE MENTION CARBON DIOXIDE, NOT ONCE!

Even wikipedia tells you photosynthesis requires 6 molecules of CO2 and 6 molecules of H2O plus lots of sunlight to produce 6 molecules of sugar and releasing 6 molecules of O2.

That is because the BBC want desperately to hide the fact that CO2 is plant food, that CO2 is actually the gas of life, the eco gas, the green gas. In fact the very reason plants are green is because of CO2.

CO2 is green.

The fact that the BBC allowed this program to be broadcast speaks volumes for the impartiality of the BBC. (yeah, right.)

In one of the scenes that "professor" showed a diagram of a water molecule, two hydrogen atoms, one oxygen atom, being broken down to release all the oxygen we breath. The implication was all ancient oxygen was obtained from water. Sheeeesh...

He also showed an experiment where he extracts oxidised iron from ancient rocks (two and a half billion years old, gosh and golly, but he never mentions BIFs, banded iron formations). He puts the powder into a beaker with some unexplained electrolyte and passes an electric current through it and captures some of the bubbles in a test tube. He then puts the test tube to his nose and takes vigorous sniffs and goes into raptures about breathing oxygen two and a half billion years old! Well, I got news for that "professor", that oxygen was being produced long before then. You need to find the time scale for each band, "rust" as he called it, was laid down. The sample he showed had at least three clear well defined banded layers.

I am becoming more and more cynical about these academics being pushed on us by the BBC.

Maybe he is an "old" oxygen junkie?
It is our attitude toward free thought and free expression that will determine our fate. There must be no limit on the range of temperate discussion, no limits on thought. No subject must be taboo. No censor must preside at our assemblies.

Carbon dioxide, methane, hydrogen and nitrogen are found throughout the universe as free gasses, but never free oxygen. That requires life and specifically plants photosynthesising CO2 to make free oxygen in an atmosphere.

Read all about him here:

Beats me why a geologist is dealing with biology. Might explain a few things.
