"wind lens"!?!?! Looks like some sort of joke in very poor taste. Lots more blades, much greater swept area, sure you will get more power. And what happens when the wind doesn't blow?
They are as ugly as sin and look too easy to sabotage. Complete and utter waste of time and resources, especially the rare earths. just think of the resources needed in the foundations to support that mother in a force ten!!!!! CO2 comes from coal, coal comes from fossilised trees, fossilised trees come from living trees, living trees growth comes from CO2 therefore coal is carbon neutral. ...from here |

A Vestas plant is along one of my most traveled bike routes. They have one of those big towers out there all set up. It is still most times I go by.
