Explorer issue
#1
When I initially open Windows Explorer, the Explorer Window fills the screen as you would expect. If from that window I open another window, perhaps a link to another website, the new window is sometimes long and narrow. perhaps occupying 25% of the screen. This started happening suddenly. I can't find any Explorer setting that would let me change this behavior so that the second window will also fill the screen on activation without having to hit the maximize button.

A few times the new window was an Adobe Acrobat file that turned off the maximize button. It made reading the file very tedious using the horizontal scroll bar and the zoom.

Any ideas on a fix? thanks in advance for a reply.

Try this:

open that second window as you have been,

then, "click and drag" the window and the sides of the window so it mostly fills the screen (do not use the "maximize" button in the upper right hand corner).

Once you get the second window the size you want it, click the normal "X" and close it.

Now open it again. It should "remember" the last size you had that window.

Let us know if this does it, OK?
I know you think you understand what you thought I said,
but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant!

Thanks for the reply. I tried it on the link you supplied to this thread and it did not work. It continues to open as a long narrow window even after I re-sized it. Wierd problem!
